Whether it be a mutually beneficial additional shared channel in a market or bringing unlikely partners together, ATV has contacts within the broadcast, broadband, cable and programming circles at the decision maker level. There are many success stories.
One of ATV's strengths is connecting dots. When we identify a need or a desired direction, ATV has broad knowledge and relationships to identify options for how to accomplish desired outcomes. This is particularly important between stations and MVPDs.
The election cycle process is critical to administer accurately and on time. It is also time intensive. ATV has provided this degree of service to 50 states and Puerto Rico to date. ATV has the data base and experience to do so in the ever changing landscape to MVPD ownership changes with a history of sending thousands of election letters each cycle. ATV makes it simple for the stations leaving only signing and sending from the station. ATV can provide this support to stations on an a la carte basis or to include the negotiation process.
With a history of negotiations in 157 DMAs, ATV is engaged in retransmision consent negotiations on an ongoing basis. Most stations only see this once every three years. It is essential to be current on language, terms, and the ramifications of decisions well beyond the important issue of rates. ATV has a finger on the pulse of all the elements important to stations in this rapidly changing environment.
ATV has a relationship to secure FCC council support when stations need it during Network Affiliation negotiations. Given the complexity and economic implications in recent agreements, ATV believes it to be paramount to have this additional support available.
ATV is insistent on protecting stations rights and borders. ATV has witnessed many errors and misconceptions related to Network Exclusivity. ATV eliminates the margin for error by applying timely and accurate notice to the appropriate MVPDs in the correct format tailored to each.
ATV understands the nuances of providing timely protection notices to MVPDs for a station's syndicated assets. ATV works with the stations to provide this service included with retransmission consent negotiations. Protection within a station's counties is only as good as how it is implemented. ATV knows this process and provides this support to keep it simple for stations.
